
Career: Shop Hand
Performs custodial work in the service/shop areas and office. Also, provides assistance in various tasks from the direction of the Shop Manager.
Responsibilities and Skills

Organizes shop and maintains inventory.

Assures trucks are stocked in the morning with all appropriate equipment

Assists in basic routine vehicle maintenance – e.g., oil changes, brakes, etc.

Sweeps, vacuums, mops and cleans floors using industrial cleaning equipment.

Operates forklift when needed.

Empties trash and disposes of larger items.
-
Other duties as assigned.
-
Hours: 6am – 10am (could vary, and great possibility for full-time in the spring/summer).

Qualifications

High school diploma or the equivalent.

Proven commitment to safety.
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Required Competencies
-
Physical: Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and or pulling; some climbing and balancing; significant stooping, kneeling, and crouching.

Lifting: The ability to bend, stoop and lift up to 50 pounds.

Attitude: Requires “people” skills and a genuine desire to service the client. A positive attitude and willingness to maintain a professional demeanor with vendors and team members is essential to this position.

Attendance: The ability to work as scheduled with punctual attendance plus any additional hours/days necessary in order to meet business demands.
