WE WANT TO BE YOUR WATER SOURCE.

When you need residential well drilling, artesian water well service or repair, and geothermal heating and cooling systems, work with Western Maine Water. For over 65 years and across three generations, our certified, licensed, fully insured team of water experts has helped families just like yours find water and keep it flowing.

Can you give me an exact start date?

For well drilling this is always tough. Water well drilling is unpredictable. And though we have decades of experience drilling in Maine, it is tough to tell whether one well will take half a day or a full week to complete. Because of this, it’s very hard for us to set concrete dates for drilling. When signing a contract with us, we will do our best to give you a time frame of when we can arrive. We can also work with your contractor and/or excavator to better schedule. Let’s chat!

How much will drilling my well cost?

Well drilling costs vary based on several factors including but not limited to drilling depth, the amount of steel casing required, how deep the pump is being set, the size of the tank required, or any upgrades like a state-of-the-art constant pressure system. We offer contract package pricing as well as drilling by the foot. Call us to talk pricing!

How long will it take to drill my well?

While we can estimate the time frame based on other wells in the area, every well is a different – even wells separated by 20 or 30 feet! It could take half a day to a week or more, but we will work with you every step of the way.

Where is the best place to find water on my property?

Once we get into the earth it is nearly impossible to predict where we can find water. Our number one concern is making sure your well is appropriately placed according to state required setbacks, and that the well is positioned in a place with accessibility for any future issues that may arise. Does hydrofracking replenish a dry well?

It certainly can! When well start to have flow issues it can be because of fissures closing up. Hydrofracturing is a safe method in which we use high pressure water to open up current and find new fissures in your bedrock. We have a 98% success rate in finding more water through hydrofracturing. Call us to discuss hydrofracturing today!

How long will it take to repair my water well?

This all depends on what needs to be done. If a full pump and tank system needs replacement, we can normally, under usual circumstances, repair it in less than a day. Though not every well and pump system is the same, so this can vary. Call us to chat about your repair needs!
